At Gunvor, we take pride in our people—who they are and what they do, every single day. Some have just started their journey with us, while others have been part of our team for years. Over time, they each go through their own transitions and continue to grow. Take Wouter, for example, who joined Gunvor as an intern back in 2011.
In May 2011, I started at Gunvor as an intern. When I was offered a permanent position as an Assistant Technician, I immediately accepted. I’ve been passionate about technology my entire life, and when you get the chance to turn your hobby into your job, there’s nothing better than that.
I progressed from Assistant Technician to Technician and, within a few years, advanced to Senior Technician.
I work with technology every day, mostly in the workshop maintaining factory components, but no day is the same. That’s also due to the great group of colleagues I work with. We all strive to deliver the best work possible so that the factory runs smoothly. However, there’s also time for some fun along the way. This keeps everyone motivated and makes the work even more enjoyable. I am now a Senior Rotating Technician 1, a role in which I have a lot of responsibility. And in the future? I’ll continue to develop and specialize. I have all the support here!
